Dubbed The Samjiyon, a North Korean company has developed its own version of the iPad – an Android based tablet that has no internet access or WiFi!

So what this tablet really becomes is a device devoted to promoting government propaganda, predictably by having preloaded media praising their glorious leader. But wait… there’s more! It also has its own version of Angry Birds installed called “Komuchong Ssogi”.


It debuted at the 8th Pyongyang Autumn International Trade Fair currently taking place getting some good N Korea TV coverage – screengrabs – Read more about it on the North Korea Tech website.

While this certainly doesn’t help Kim Jong Un with his internet cred, we’d much rather see a tech arms race than a weapons one :)

Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE Advanced Speed

SK Telecom unveiled the world’s first consumer mobile phone on the LTE-Advanced network, a Samsung 4S variant. It supports download speeds of up to 150Mbps and upload speeds of 37.5Mbps, which by comparison is already rivalling Australia’s NBN of 100Mbps down and 40Mbps up.
